Bells of Steel owner Kaevon began selling kettlebells out of his trunk. Over the course of the past decade they have grown to be a Top 5 Home Gym Manufacturer competing with the best of the best. Racks, Bars, Benches, Belt Squats, and a ton more. What began in Canada has jumped across the boarder to the States as they continue to offer quality equipment at a fantastic price.
What Do They Make?
Bells of Steel primarily focuses on producing quality equipment at a super affordable price. Their initial product line was a bit skewed towards the Crossfit world. However, they continue to follow the trend of the home gym community and have expanded primarily in the powerlifting arena. Their beefier Hydra Series Racks are a good example. The original racks were 2.2×2.2, which was WIDELY outside of the industry standard. Their new 3×3 racks are a sure fit for all attachments, whether you go Bells of Steel or with another GGC sponsor.
Their Barenaked Powerlifting Bar has won awards and accolades from many for being the BEST budget barbell for powerlifting purposes. Even compared to Amazon products, this bar kicks some ass in both price and performance. Add on some plates to finish the set-up.
Want a little more? Their Belt Squat has been a favorite of people from picky lifters, to bodybuilders, to powerlifters. Add in their Pulley Tower and a Buzzsaw Bench with some attachments and you’ve got everything you need for a banging powerlifting set up.
The Bamboo!
Ok, this is a little odd… but have you worn a Bamboo shirt before? Bells of Steel makes one and I first got my hands on it about 6 or 7 years ago. Kaevon sent me one… I honestly don’t remember why. But I wore it and immediately had my wife try it on. We were HOOKED!!!
When I say “the most comfortable shirt I’ve ever worn”, I’m not exaggerating. There are only two downsides to them… first is that they can stretch, and second is that the printing can wear off easily.
But the fit and feel is second to none. They are heavy, but somehow extremely comfortable. Bamboo is cooling and helps with moisture as well as odor. So the shirts are fantastic for a lift shirt.
I’m blown away that bamboo isn’t in more workout clothes. We liked it so much we went out and bought bamboo bed sheets and pillow covers. Now they sell a Bamboo Sweatshirt that has been haunting my dreams for awhile.
If you are looking for a new shirt, try one. Seriously. For science.

Bells Of Steel And The Garage Gym Community
Bells of Steel was one of the very first equipment sponsors for the Garage Gym Competition, jumping in in Year 1! They’ve done AMAs on Reddit r/HomeGym, handed out a ton of giveaways, and been an active member of the greater garage gym community since their inception. You’ll see that they regularly take community feedback and ideas into consideration for building out their newest offerings.
When they first dropped their Safety Squat Bar it received feedback from a number of athletes including Adam at Garage Gym Lab. They went back to the drawing board and have since relaunched it with a number of features that you don’t find anywhere else.
Most companies grow and lose touch with the community that built them. Bells of Steel seems to have kept their ears open and it is paying them back well. What started in a trunk, is now one of the most sought after and well regarded equipment companies in Canada AND the US. And they have more coming!
