Whether you lift in a garage, basement, bedroom, or shed… or even a commercial gym, this is the Virtual Powerlifting Meet FOR YOU. The GGC welcomes all lifters big and small, from the US and around the globe, kids and grandmas, professionals and beginners… if you can Squat, Bench, and Deadlift, you are in!

Over 5,000 athletes across the world have joined in since 2018. And we’ve given away more than $130,000 in prizes and donated over $13,000 to charities.

Your admission is free… you just need to lift!

As I mentioned in my post, working out by myself can sometimes feel monotonous and this gives me something to strive for. Also, I think that being able to watch everybody else’s lifts and root for people we’ve never met does so much to foster a sense of community!

Spring Non-Profit

We had just shy of 500 peeps enter the #25springggc . I think it was actually a little more, because I know a few who submitted videos but didn’t complete the submission form. Tisk tisk…

So we rounded up to $500 for donations.

All of you donated an extra $170… Bringing our total for @specialolympics so far to $670.

The GGC also donated $200 to a fundraiser via @tkinneyv2.0 for Hope Kids (you can find details through Travis).

And another $200 donated to a fundraiser via @mr._adorable .

We’ll be covering the full scope of data on Wednesday in our FINAL Live Stream for the Spring GGC. Any donations made to Special Olympics during the live stream will be matched up to an additional $500.

So join us, learn some stuff, laugh a little, and help us raise some funds. Looking to crack the $10k to Special Olympics mark.

Stickers

We included a question about 100 of YOU vs 1 Gorilla, in the submission form. And we leveraged that to make our Spring Sticker.

All participants that wanted one, will have one shipped to their house, for free. Plate Snacks is our sticker printer, and my daughter is our envelope stuffer.

We will also send out new 5 Year Club stickers, on top of updating our 999lb and 499lb club entrants.

This was our FIRST event with Awards Winners. We handed out Top 3 Awards to the Prettiest Powerlifter, Most 10 RPE Lift, Deadliest Lift, and Top Athletes.

Coaching Feedback… If You Want It!

Our GGC Coaches handed out feedback in two different ways. First, was through our Live Streams during Comp Week. And second, was via email. A dozen coaches handled almost 200 athlete submissions and provided tips, tricks, notes and ways for them to improve for the next GGC!
