REP Fitness – The Home Gym Community Leader
REP Fitness began in 2012 by brothers Ryan and Shane McGrotty. What started as a side project in the CrossFit world, has rapidly evolved into a prominent provider of high-quality fitness equipment, catering primarily to home gym owners. The company’s inception was driven by a passion for fitness and a commitment to offering innovative, durable, and affordable equipment.

Product Offerings
REP Fitness really took off when their benches started making waves. Other companies were releasing the same flat bench over and over, and REP was dropping bombs and blowing up the home gym world. EVERYONE had a REP bench. And to this day, REP still arguably makes the best benches on the market, and they continue to change the game before anyone else.
- Strength Equipment: This includes power racks, benches, barbells, and plates, all engineered for durability and performance. Notably, the AB-5000 Zero Gap Adjustable Bench, released in 2018, showcases REP’s dedication to innovation.
- Conditioning Tools: REP offers a variety of conditioning equipment such as kettlebells, medicine balls, and battle ropes, catering to functional fitness enthusiasts.
- Cardio Machines: In 2024, REP expanded into the cardio market with the introduction of five new machines: the REP Runner (a curved manual treadmill with sled push functionality), the REP Air Bike, the REP Rower, the REP Ski Trainer, and the REP Spin Bike.
What stands out with REP, is that they develop all of the equipment in Colorado. Their design and engineering teams are here, alongside the rest of the REP team. They come up with ideas, put them together, make them work, and then partner with their production plan overseas. This combination is unique. Most companies either fully design, engineer, and build overseas, or do it all here in the US. This combination gives REP the ability to quality assure their designs to the highest level, but save on costs by leveraging the import process. Kind of a, win-win concept.
Recent Developments
REP Fitness has launched well over 50 products in the last several years, including barbells for every kind of lifter, new apparel and supplement lines, as well as further developing their cable machines, racks, accessories, and benches.
- Global Reach: REP expanded its operations to Europe in 2024, making its products available in over 20 European countries, including Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. This move signifies REP’s dedication to serving a global customer base.
- Collaborations: The company partnered with innovators like Steve Kleva to enhance its product offerings, demonstrating a commitment to integrating unique designs and functionalities into their equipment.

REP never flinched from their goal. Get involved in the community, and make what they want. They’ve been able to listen, learn, and grow from within the community itself, and continue to expand on ways to make fitness more inclusive. REP continues to push from the front, as their products are often first to market amongst the bigger home gym manufacturers.
