Prime Fitness – Goal Oriented Gym Equipment
Prime Fitness … Where human anatomy, state of the art engineering, and American manufacturing cross paths. They don’t have a huge lineup of equipment (though it expands every year). Instead they focus on making something unique each and every time they bring something to market.
Prime Fitness has a home in the biggest and baddest commercial gyms across the planet. In recent years they have expanded their Prodigy line for the home gym audience. Racks with built in cable functionality and their HLP Single Stack are game changers for the space constrained, but performance focused, home gym lifter. Add in their line of ROT-8 handles and you’ve got yourself a commercial gym in your garage.
Not convinced? Guys like Adam from Garage Gym Lab, Danny Tran from Infamous Strength, and Basement Brandon have included Prime in their layouts. That is a stamp of approval at the highest levels. Did I mention you can get their Prodigy line in custom colors as well?
What Is Goal Oriented Gym Equipment?
In the past when I talk about Prime Fitness, I always get a couple of comments about the price. My general stance is this.
There are a ton of ways to get the job done by spending a LOT less. But Prime’s goal isn’t to get the job done, but to do the job in the best way they can. Aesthetically, bio-mechanically, fit and finish, you name it. They make some of the best bars, machines, cable attachments and more on the planet. Using premium pieces, making things in the US, working towards achieving something others haven’t through R&D and other initiatives… all cost money. So Prime’s stuff is expensive not because it has to be. You can find budget friendly stuff on everywhere. It’s expensive because of what they are attempting to accomplish.
Their goal… is to make equipment that helps YOU achieve YOUR goals.
I firmly believe that you need to support the people doing the innovation, otherwise there won’t be any innovation in the future.
What Is New With Prime Fitness?
In 2022 Prime dropped their Super Squat Bar. Five people from the Spring GGC were lucky enough to take one home as part of Prime’s mystery prize. This was shipped out to them before it was even for sale online. I was lucky enough to get one for the sake of review purposes which you can check out here.
In the Fall GGC they handed out five more mystery prizes. They showed up at the winners door steps in early March and made a HUGE wave. The first Prime Fitness Shorty Adjustable Benches in the wild came from the Garage Gym Competition. This is a commercial level bench targeted at the home gym community with a bunch of attachments and awesome integrations into Prime’s ecosystem.
It is also coming out in the near future with a leg extension/leg curl attachment that will connect to their Prodigy cable line up. And in the comments of this Instagram post, they dropped some hints to a back extension attachment as well! I think we could see Prime continue to add on to this bench as time goes on.
In chats with Prime Fitness they’ve mentioned new bars and other items on the way as well. So this is likely to be another good year to keep your eyes on Prime Fitness.

One Last Note On Prime
If I had the space, Prime Fitness would be EVERYWHERE in my gym. I love their equipment, their company is family run, 100% American made, and they continue to push the envelope. I love seeing companies try new things, and Prime is doing that regularly. While others are copying every nick-nack and rack available, Prime is consistently improving and pushing the industry forward.
