New Micro Gainz Dumbbell Plates
Dumbbells are often considered just outside the core items in a home gym set up. Rack, bench, bar, plates… then we get into dumbbells, cables, and some other odds and ends to round out a more well-developed gym in terms of programming options. One of the downsides of dumbbells is often choosing between adjustable and a full set of dumbbells, balancing cost, adjust ability, space constraints, and even the ability for multiple athletes to use at one time, supersets, drop sets, and more. Micro Gainz is here to fix that problem with the Micro Gainz Dumbbell Plates.
For some, the answer becomes a dedicated set of high-quality dumbbells.
The biggest drawback is often space and cost for the 5lb jumps. For smaller athletes, or for smaller movements, jumping from 10lbs to 20lbs isn’t possible. I mean, that’s literally a 100% increase in weight. Even trying to jump from 60 to 70 in a row or press can be difficult. So, you can continue to do more and more reps until those next weights become reality (maybe), or find another solution. Let me introduce you to the most well-rounded option I’ve seen, the New Micro Gainz Dumbbell Micro Plates.
Micro Gainz Dumbbell Plates!
When you think of Micro Gainz, you think mini plates. Fractional plates ready to break plateaus, help with micro adjustments for percentage lifting, and all-around focused attention to specific accuracy in weight. So, it makes sense that they would also help level up your dumbbell game by allowing micro adjustments to the dumbbells. No more jumping 10lbs at a time, you can now go in fractional increments (depending on the set you buy), so you can progress safely and efficiently, even on some of the more targeted and specific isolation exercises, all the way up to your rows and presses. Oh, and these will work with literally any dumbbell you own. No more worrying about metal, rubber, urethane, etc. These work, every time. Did I mention, 100% made in the USA?
You might be saying, “But they’ve sold these for a while?”. Correct! But their new redesign is SLICK!!! Gone are the days of the rubber band and the oversized weight. Smaller, more efficient, less “in the way”, AND the spring loaded looks cleaner and operates smoother, likely longer too. Even aesthetically they etched the logo on, nice touch!
The Micro Gainz Dumbbell Plates V2, in their own words, “were a complete redesign”. It definitely looks like it.
I own the old style 2.5lb plates. For my wife especially, these have been literal game changers. She can now progress from the 10s and 20s up to the next weight, I don’t have to even consider adding any extra dumbbells, and the plates take up almost no space on my storage rack. Sometimes the simplest review is to say “they do exactly what they were meant to do”.

Any insider news as to when the newer version of the 2.5lbs will be available?

yeah, he told me today to expect them late NEXT year. Constraints with manufacturing and design, steel costs, etc. make the development of these take a bit longer than ideal.
