Plate Snacks – Make Your Gym Delicious

Ever seen gym equipment so pretty you wanted to eat it? If you’ve seen the stuff from Plate Snacks, you certainly would. What started as a way to decorate the plain sides of a plate, has grown into much more. Plate designs are still their… bread and butter (see what I did there?)… but they make banners, rack magnets, barbell end caps, shirts, custom designed AbMats, shaker bottles, and even a barbell hanger. That little donut skull has me wanting to plaster it on everything. Oh, and if you are that kind of person, they even do fully custom jobs. Plate Snacks is ran by Mark, a special ops secret agent by day, and gym customization expert by night. Well, one of those is true. Plate Snacks is, as the kids would say, a side hustle YO!?! Mark saw an opportunity to do more with gym equipment, to have some fun, to make something cool, and ran with it. One thing lead to another and now he is cranking out a ton of off-the-shelf designs as well as some truly insane custom work.

Mark is a home gym lifter himself, with a pretty banging home gym. In fact the pictures you see throughout the site are often from his own gym. So Mark gets it. Equipment comes to, often with logos everywhere, or plain and drab. We often have so much black in our gyms you would think we are vampires. So having the ability to create some POP, some flair, somethin somethin that makes us jive and get up and lift, well that is exactly what we are looking at with Plate Snacks.

What is cool about this being a passion project for Mark is that he gets to put a lot of the proceeds right back into the business. He recently upgraded printers and processes so he can not only print even better stuff, but do it faster and cheaper. This means lower turn around times, more options for all of us, at a great price.

What Does Plate Snacks Make?

Plate Decals

This was the first product offering from Plate Snacks. They took the Donut Bumper and ran with it to drop an entire food buffet of plate decals. Coffee, oranges, sushi, cinnamon rolls… And you can get them for your Iron Plates, Bumper Plates, and Calibrated Plates. They even make Garage Gym Competition Plate Snacks! The cool thing here is you can mix and match, go all in on one design, slap your custom logo on there for your company/gym, or details out some plates for your kiddos with fun designs.

Rack Magnets & Accessories

One item I think is HIGHLY overlooked from them, is their Rack Magnets. They come in 1″ and 5/8″ hole sizes, and in Donut, Dumbbell, and American Flag style. These are meant to mark your j-cup settings on your rack for Squats, Bench, and other exercises. So instead of writing or chalking up your rack, mark it with something tasty. I typically write mine down in an Excel spreadsheet, but this is absurdly easier and faster.

Custom Plate Snacks

We talked about the awesomeness of the Custom Plate Snack offerings in a previous article. But they deserve another look. Custom Barbell End Caps

Buy a bar off the Boneyard? Have a gnarly messed up end cap from a used bar? Maybe just don’t like the stock look of your end caps? Give them an upgrade however you want.
