Chuck Walton
My name is Chuck Walton
Born in Baltimore, MD, and now living in Kentucky, I’m a competitive powerlifter, judge, and coach, primarily with the USPC. My journey into powerlifting began three years ago after a severe car accident ended my ability to compete in strongman. Doctors told me I’d never lift again—but I refused to be defined by someone else’s limitations. Instead, I fought through depression and alcoholism, committed to rebuilding myself. I haven’t missed a workout or had a drink since.
I discovered the GGC last year when I saw they were hosting a competition for charity—combining my two greatest passions: lifting and helping others. That’s why, at 47, I continue to lift, coach, and judge. I want to show others that no obstacle is too big to overcome if you refuse to quit. The gym is the ultimate proving ground—because the weights will never lie to you.
