One Rep Max Calculator
Quick note, that these aren’t perfect. They are based on averages and the assumption that you went ALL out on a lift and could provide the same level of effort on your next attempt. Daily fluctuations, differences in muscle fiber type, and more will depict how accurate this is. So use it as a guide, not as 100% perfect science.
If you are looking for details on choosing your 3 attempts, make sure to read the Q&A from our resident expert. The easy math would be to take your expected 1RM, and do the following:
- 1st Attempt: 85% to 90% of your expected 1RM
- 2nd Attempt: 90% to 95% of your expected 1RM
- 3rd Attempt: 100% to 105% of your expected 1RM
The lower ranges will be to stay conservative, and the higher ranges are for when everything feels great and you want to roll the dice.

Convert Pounds to Kilograms (Imperial to Metric)
For whatever reason, we Americans still use Imperial for most of our stuff. For the GGC, we try and convert everything to Metric as MOST lifting federations do so. In that light, here is a quick tool to convert from one to another:

What Is Next With Lifting Calculators?
A project I’ve had on the side has been to incorporate the GGC results into a dashboard where you can find yourself, your historic performance, compare to others, and see a number of insights. Not because it necessarily matters how you stack up, but that people still care where they stack up. Myself included. So stay tuned as we build that out in the future.
For now, you can leverage the above Lifting Calculators to give you insights into what you MIGHT hit in the next GGC, or check your scores after.
Mark your calendars for the next GGC event, and I’ll see you soon!
