2019 Garage Gym Competition
Items of Note
Year 2 was something else. I had become a moderator for Reddit r/HomeGym at the tail end of the first GGC. I began scheduling AMAs with companies and discussing the competition. They seemed interested. As I continued to expand my discussions, things started going in a weird direction. Companies were tossing in HUGE amounts of prizes. I was blown away by the support. I kept thinking… for me? For this little competition? Why? Fast forward and I know better now. But at the time, I was just so stoked to go from a flat bench, to multiple bars, a rack, a rower, and much more.
It all comes back to the community. They showed up in year 1, and they came back almost 3x the amount for year 2. The support from the lifters has always been drives me and the competition forward.
